I am a lifetime resident of Whatcom County, with extensive construction and remodeling experience. I find the inspecting of residential homes to be very interesting (every house tells a story) and working with my clients helping them feel more comfortable about their home purchase, to be very enjoyable. I still dabble in remodeling
because I think it is good to keep up with the latest technology and products, so I can make the proper recommendations and give solutions to issues that are realistic.
I specialize in new home inspections, and feel it is vital to have new construction homes thoroughly inspected. Along with calling out safety, conducive conditions for future moisture damage and defects, I assist the buyer in creating a punch list of items that need completion so they can move into their new home and begin enjoying it right away.
I am also a Residential Inspection Instructor at the Bellingham Technical College in Bellingham, www.btc.ctc.edu,we train students in the art of home inspection and starting an inspection business. As a licensed pest inspector we also prepare our students to take the WSDA pest inspection test that is necessary to pass to inspect in the State of Washington.
I work with mortgage institutions doing progressive construction inspections, it's referred to as construction draws, and they hire me to take photo's of the work completed, so you can pay the contractor and keep everyone happy and working. Maybe I will see you on site someday if you are building your own home.
I look forward to working with you whether it is to purchase an older or new home, have a desire to become a home inspector, are building a new home, or just have a question about your existing home. Please feel free to call. (360)815-5716.
